A free shuttle bus connects T1 and T2 (4 km apart) running every 5-10 minutes, 24/7, with a travel time of approximately 10-15 minutes.
A variety of restaurants are located throughout the airport, several of which are open 24 hours. Some travellers report exceptionally high prices, making a case for bringing food in from outside. The airport offers free, unlimited WiFi. For those looking for a little added comfort, there are first-class lounges that economy-class passengers can pay to access.
Sleeping in Barcelona Airport
Sleeping at Barcelona El Prat Airport is possible, but comfort is limited: most seating has armrests, the tiled floors are cold, and overnight announcements can make proper sleep difficult. Terminal 1 airside generally offers the better experience, with some softer seating and quieter areas, while Terminal 2 sleepers are more likely to end up on the floor; recent travellers also report that T2A may close overnight, with sleepers redirected to T2B landside.
