Airport Overview

To help you plan your layover or overnight sleepover, we are here to give you the low-down on what travellers have reported back to us during their time at Hartford Airport.

What to Expect

  • A relaxed and modest-sized airport. Terminal A has two concourses (Gates 1-12 Concourse and Gates 20-30 Concourse). Used solely by Delta, the International Arrivals Building receives passengers from incoming international flights.
  • The airport provides free WiFi. See WiFi below.

Where to Sleep

  • After security checkpoints close for the night, passengers are restricted to landside only. Passengers sleeping airside will be required to go back to landside until security reopens, and will need to clear security again to re-enter.
  • Benches and chairs can be found in the carpeted hallway leading to the Sheraton Airport Hotel. The hallway is said to be quiet but bright, so have your sleep mask handy!
  • Have earplugs on hand, just in case!
  • Lower level baggage claim is reported to have two lounge areas with comfy couches and flat screen TV’s.
  • The airport is connected to a hotel and there are nearby hotels that offer free airport shuttles. See Airport Hotels below.

Good to Know

  • After security checkpoints close for the night, passengers are restricted to landside only.
  • While most airport shops and restaurants close at night, two restaurants and a Dunkin Donuts have extended hours.
  • Economy class passengers can find comfort in one of the lounges that are accessible with a day pass or Admirals Club membership. See Airport Lounges below for locations and rates.
