While the Caribbean and Central America are home to some of the most idyllic destinations, a few of the terminals that welcome travellers leave a few things to be desired. Voters put the following airports on this list because they felt the terminals were decidedly disorganized, unclean and cramped. Arriving passengers were particularly unimpressed with broken luggage tracks and untrustworthy baggage handlers, while those on their way out were annoyed by long and inefficient lines. These annoyances are amplified during weather or airline related delays, which leave far too many passengers squashed inside muggy and noisy departure gates, in dire need of air conditioning. Grievances are then compounded when visiting a restaurant, where food and drink is sold at surprisingly high prices. If travelling to one of these poorly ranked airports, be sure to travel with patience, earplugs and some snacks – your ultimate destination will surely be worth your while!
