What to Expect
Platov Airport (code: ROV) opened a new terminal in 2017 and handles domestic and international flights. You’ll find a decent selection of eateries, duty-free and shops, and the good news is that everything is open 24 hours. Free WiFi helps pass the time. In this guide we may refer to locations as “landside” and “airside”. Landside is the public area of the terminal located in the non-secure zone, before security. Luggage lockers are available. Location: 1st Floor of the Terminal behind the escalators. Rates:
- Standard size: 100 RUB/hour and 300 RUB/day.
- Oversized (including strollers, musical instruments, etc.): 200 RUB/hour and 600 RUB/day.
Good to Know: items unclaimed after 30 days are destroyed.

ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available. Machines are operated by Cner-Invest, Gazprombank, Sberbank and VTB. Fees may apply, so check your bank’s fee schedule and daily withdrawal limit if you are travelling internationally. You may also want to notify your bank of your travel plans. Locations: 1st Floor Departures and Arrivals.
Baby Care Facilities – A nursing room is located in the airport. To gain access, you must go to the medical station first and check your luggage at baggage claim.
Bank Services – Gazprombank has a bank branch at the airport. Location: 1st Floor, Arrivals. Hours: Unknown.
Currency Exchange – The Donkombank Exchange Office provides currency exchange (Dollars, Euros and Pounds). Location: 1st floor, landside area, Domestic Sector. Hours: 24 hours.
Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-Free is available 24 hours daily on the 3rd Floor, International Departures. In addition, there is a small variety of shops to pass the time, including a Hudson News store. All shops are open 24 hours.
Family Services – A Mother and Child Room is available and offers a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a washer and dryer, and more. This room is accessible to departing passengers with children aged seven and under. Entry is free, but a passport and flight ticket are required to access the facility. Location: 2nd Floor of the Terminal. Hours: Open 24 hours, but you may be limited to 3-4 hours during peak hours.
Information Desk – A Tourist Information Center is available. Location: 1st Floor, Landside. Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Luggage Wrapping – Protect your bags from theft and damage by having them wrapped in plastic. Location: 1st Floor of the Terminal. Rates: 500 RUB for a standard-size bag and 650 RUB for a bag measuring more than 50x50x100.
Medical Services – If you feel unwell or injure yourself, a medical center can be found on the 1st Floor of the Terminal. Hours: 24 hours.
Pharmacy – Bawa Pharmacy can be found on the 1st Floor, Landside. Hours: 24 hours.

Bus
ROV airport is connected to the city center by Bus No. 700, which runs 24 hours a day. Between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM, the bus runs every 30 minutes; outside these hours, it runs every hour. At the time of this update, the bus fare is 100 RUB, and the ride takes approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
