Airport Ambassadors – If you need help finding your way, look for Airport Ambassadors in easily recognizable uniforms. They provide general directions and assistance throughout the terminal.
Caring Corner – The Caring Corner is a special area for disabled travellers, pregnant women and the elderly to relax in comfy seating with televisions. Locations: Terminal 1 (Airside, near Gates 36, Level 6).
Duty-Free & Shopping – Duty-free shopping is available in both Departures and Arrivals areas of Terminal 1. In addition, a wide range of retail shops sell fashion, souvenirs, local snacks, teas, and travel essentials.

Family Services
Baby Care Facilities – Nursing rooms equipped with infant feeding and diaper-changing facilities are available throughout the terminal, including Terminal 1 and the satellite concourses.
Children’s Play Areas – Children’s play areas are located in several Departures areas.
Strollers – Complimentary strollers with space for small bags are available.

Information Desk – Customer Service Centres are located throughout Terminal 1, both landside and airside. Help phones connect to a 24-hour information call centre when desks are closed.
Luggage Wrapping – Plastic luggage wrapping services are available in selected check-in areas to help protect bags from damage or tampering.

Medical Services
Medical Centre – Medical assistance is available landside and airside in Terminal 1. One location operates 24 hours; the second has limited daily hours.
Pharmacy – Pharmacies sell general health items and travel essentials. Locations are available landside and airside, with hours varying by outlet.

Money
ATMs / Cash Machines – Need cash? ATMs are available throughout Terminal 1. Fees may apply.
Banking Services – Full-service banking and currency exchange are available during standard business hours.
Currency Exchange – Currency exchange counters operate landside and airside, with some locations open 24 hours.

Post Office – A post office and mailboxes are available for sending letters and postcards.
Prayer Rooms – Prayer rooms for quiet reflection are available landside and airside. Facilities include Qibla direction indicators and foot-washing basins.
Smoking – Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking lounges.
Spa & Salon Services – Massage and spa services are available at an off-site airport hotel spa, accessible by hotel shuttle.
SIM Cards – SIM cards and mobile accessories are sold at multiple convenience stores, telecom shops, and currency exchange counters throughout Terminal 1.

Airport Express

The Airport Express connects Hong Kong International Airport with central Hong Kong in approximately 24 minutes. The airport station serves both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, with train doors opening on opposite sides of the platform for the two terminals. Service generally operates from early morning until shortly after midnight. For more information on fares, schedules and routes, visit the MTR website.

Buses

A large network of public buses connects Hong Kong Airport with destinations throughout Hong Kong. Routes include “A” airport services, “E” external services, overnight “NA” and “N” routes, and local “S” routes. Many airport bus routes serve both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2; check Citybus or Long Win Bus for the correct stop, route and current fare for your journey. Ride Sharing

Uber operates throughout Hong Kong. A ride to the city centre will cost you about HK$250 – HK$290.

Taxi

Taxis can be found at the airport’s Taxi Station, located outside near the ramp to the left of the Arrivals Hall exit. Three different colour-coded taxis are available:

• Urban (red) taxis serve Hong Kong (except Tung Chung Road and roads in south Lantau).
• New Territories NT (green) taxis serve the New Territories, North-Eastern, and North-Western parts.
• Lantau (blue) taxis serve only on Lantau Island and Chek Lap Kok.

Baggage fees are charged for all luggage placed in the baggage compartment of the taxi and luggage over 140cm placed in the passenger compartment. Most taxis can hold up to three pieces of regular-sized luggage.
